Ready or not here they come!!  Keep yourself organized with Google Drive.  I showed you the student information for parents but for K-5 teachers here is a behavior chart that you can send home daily and kids change their color on a form you created.  This helps with your discipline documentation.  Share it with your administration so they can pull up what is going on at your grade level.  I put a shortcut to the link on each student computer and let them know that as soon as they changed their color the principal and AP could see.  Here is an example of what I have used in previous years.  I will be creating the parent contact log this week and will be sharing!!

Manage Student Info with Google Forms

First day of school and meet the teacher are not good times to discuss anything specific with parents.  Create a Google form and have them fill out what you need to know in private.  This is also a good time to get better contact numbers and email addresses.  Last year I created a QR code and had it projected on the board so parents with smart phones could scan and fill this form out at home at their leisure.  For those who did not have a smartphone I had a shortcut on student computers so parents could fill it out there.  Here's one I used in second grade.
